Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is very versatile, and popular suggestions for alot of ailments including mercury excretion. What troubles me is most sites neglect to mention it should really be used with great caution. Since, it has the ability to cross the blood brain barrier, using it with amalgam dental work could be hazardous to one’s health. When used properly and without Amalgam Dental work, ALA can be very healing.

I started using it about 2 years ago to help remove heavy metals from my body. Since then we have used several types both types as I began using the the ACC / FAW Protocol of chelation, to recover my youngest from Autism.

Alpha-lipoic acid (ALA) is a vitamin-like antioxidant that can cross the cell membrane, just as it crosses the blood brain barrier. There are 2 types of ALA; R-Lipoic Acid and S-Lipoic Acid. The R-Lipoic Acid is more potent along with more expensive. S is synthetic is more common, cheap however, less natural is thought to be less effective.

Uses of ALA

  • diuretic
  • boosts gluthione levels
  • combat radiation sickness
  • repair damaged livers
  • treat diabetes and diabetes-related conditions
  • remove heavy metals, mercury-chelating specifically (even those that have crossed the blood brain barrier). Most people find best results doing ALA + DMSA, we also found that to be the case in our chelation. It helps to remove the heavy metals in urine and stool.
  • protect against Alheizmers

It has a half-life of 3-4 hours. The Chelation protocol we follow suggests taking multiple sequential doses every 3 hours for a minimum period of time called a Round. The specific additional supplementation it requires is Vitamin C, E, Magnesium and Zinc . That makes great sense when I ran across this valuable article. Dr. Lester Packer, senior scientist at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory and head of the Packer Lab at the University of California, has spent over 35 years studying how antioxidants like vitamins C, E and glutathione interact in the body. Dr. Packer first discovered several years ago how vitamin E is ‘recycled’ by vitamin C. -nutritionreview.org

I urge you, not to use this product with Amalgam containing dental work. The protocol we follow suggests not to use ALA for at least 3 months after any exposure.

ALA can be purchased at the same https://www.livingsupplements.com, but I have found that the price is hugely discounted when purchasing from http://www.everythingspectrum.com/ when using the discount code FAW20. They do not offer DMSA.
