This is a continuation post from FAW
The forum recommending this Hair Testing Company Holistic Health International (HHI), because it was least cost at $90. This test cost me $5.17 to ship by the shipping method I chose.

I was in a hurry to get my lil guy a hair cut, so I called and verified a precut is ok. I was forewarned to make sure it’s an inch long minimum. (Quoted from the order page:) To avoid cancellation by the lab, make certain: the sample is collected from the head (close as possible to the scalp), the sample is at least 1 inch in length & the sample weighs .25 grams (or for reference- a tightly packed tablespoon). The FAQ says there is a way to weigh the sample in the kit. I cut a bit extra than I thought in hopes it will weigh enough.
This post is updated as time passes to give full report of our first experience. I ordered the test Aug 1, 2017, it shipped out first class mail Aug 2, 2017. It mailed from ME and arrived Aug 5, 2017. I’m mailing the sample out Aug 7, 2017, but that is the first business mailing date available, so I’m using that date as mailed back date.
The collection kit was simple. I had to fill out name and address info, specimen date and then work the hair sample. The kit contained a sample bag, postage-paid return envelope, and a card stock sheet that was a perfect simple scale with instructions for the hair sample.

8/23/2017 Update:

We received our results back, right within the 2 week mark. There was lots of comments hand written (which Jan Martin says is common, but not to worry) on the documents and there were many pages following up comments about the results. It’s very thorough and over my head. I will admit, I am very overwhelmed by the results and it’s taking me a bit to process. I am told that it meets at least 2 counting rules, but I don’t yet understand that fully, but it indicates hidden mercury!
DMSA will eliminate lead and mercury, but it’s my understanding I can’t chelate ALA (For all matters of safety, you need to follow the guidelines of the book to know ALA wouldn’t have been started till between 2-10 rounds according to the guidelines of the book).
